How would I most readily find out what studies or specific HIA's he is referring to that a Dr. Don Ziegler of the American Medical Association talks about in addressing McDonald's shareholders. He says "As health professionals, we're aware from health impact assessments of the direct link between marketing and children's health". It would be cool to know those specific HIA's...the studies you can get from the literature writ large or the National Academy report, although it is a couple of years old now. I figured maybe this was something the health departments around the country are getting involved in with the local governments, as in SF, Santa Clara County, etc., that have put policy between kids and their toys when they order a hi-cal, -salt, -fat Happy Meal. I am aware of what Corporate Accountability International, National Policy and Legal Analysis Network to Prevent Childhood Obesity, Center for Science in the Public Interest, etc. have done.
